Logan Inn New Hope, Pennsylvania is one of the five oldest inns in the United States. The Colonial style inn was established in 1727. Logan Inn is noted as being one of the most haunted buildings in America.
Logan Inn was founded by John Wells, who is also credited with founding the town of New Hope. Wells was given a license to keep a ferry in 1722. In 1727 he was granted a license to run a tavern. The current inn, built around the ferry is an example of the Colonial habit of wrapping structures around each other.
The entire town of New Hope, PA is considered haunted. New Hope has been the subject of a made of TV movie, "America's Most Haunted Town." Logan Inn is believed to be the most haunted building in New Hope.
At least four different ghosts have been reported at the Colonial era inn.
According to Unsolved Mysteries, there are reports that room six has a mirror in which the reflection of a man mysteriously appears and disappears. The ghosts of two children have also been reported in room six.
A specter of a Revolutionary War soldier wanders throughout the Inn. The solider takes refuge in different areas, including the bar, the dining room and the basement.
Emily, who is the mother of the former building owner. Emily enjoyed wearing lavender perfume. She plays spine chilling tricks on guests, such as adjusting the room's heater and rearranging luggage. A portrait hangs in the hallway. People have claimed that they can smell lavender when they walk past the portrait.
The specter of a little girl often greets guests in the parking lot, thought to be a little girl that drowned long ago.

Restaurants at the inn include The Cottage, the Garden Room and the Historic Tavern and the Garden Room. The Tavern,the oldest part of the building, features antique woodwork, a Colonial fireplace and a friendly atmosphere. Windows overlook the Delaware River and the town of New Hope, PA.
Vistors to the Logan Inn get a chance to glimpse into the Colonial era of American history. It is not surprising that the inn may have accumulated a few ghosts in the many years it has been in business.
