This summer treat your family to a fun-filled vacation with all your favorite Sesame Street characters. Sesame Place is theme park located ninety minutes from New York City and thirty minutes from Philadelphia geared toward families with young children. This park features kid-sized wet and dry rides, a chance to dine with your favorite Sesame Street friends, shows and a parade, and a chance to meet and take pictures with Big Bird, Elmo or Cookie Monster. So pack your sun block and digital camera and head to Langhorne, PA this summer for a one-of-a-kind family experience!
Sesame Place Ticket Prices
All children under 2 years old are free.
Regular price One Day Ticket for 2008 is $47.50.
For the best deal purchase the Two Day Ticket. For the same price as the One Day Ticket you can come back for another day of fun. The tickets do not have to be used on consecutive days.
Discounted prices are available for seniors and AAA members.
Sesame Place Dining Options
If you book in advance you can sign up for breakfast, lunch, or dinner with your favorite character.
For the 2008 season Breakfast with Elmo or Cookie Monster is $14.95 each for kids and $16.95 each for adults.
Lunch with Big Bird and Friends is $15.95 per person for kids and $19.95 per person for adults.
Dinner with Big Bird and Friends runs $16.95 per child and $26.95 for each adult.
Children under 2 years old are free, but need a reservation.
There are three counter service restaurants at Sesame Place featuring family-friendly fare and four snack bars around the park.
Sesame Place Rides and Attractions
Sesame Place is comprised of seventeen dry attractions. These include eight amusement park style rides such as Elmo’s Peek-a-Bug, Grover’s World Twirl, and Vapor Trail their pint-sized roller coaster.
There are also five interactive attractions where kids can climb Cookie Mountain, jump on Ernie’s Bed Bounce, and slide down the Silly Sand Slide.
Families can play carnival-style games at the Sesame Playhouse.
Sesame Place runs twelve water rides featuring a lazy river, water slides, a wave pool, a splash park and more.
Sesame Place Shows
The park features three live shows that are included in the price of admission. Visitors can interact with the characters in Elmo’s World Live, Abby Cadabby’s Treasure Hunt, and Big Bird’s Beach Party.
All of the Sesame Street friends can be seen in the Rock Around the Block Parade that goes through the center of the park daily.
Sesame Place Photo Opportunities
Professional photos are available for purchase during the character dining experiences. There are also many characters available at each meals to pose with for personal shots as well.
There are designated areas throughout the park that thirteen of the most popular Sesame Street friends visit for short periods each day.
